Ethernet Lights on cable modem port are amber
I occasionally have connectivity issues between Orbi and my cable modem. For some reason, orbi could not get an ethernet address from my cable provider. But when I plugged my TV into the ethernet p...

Thanks for the information. Yes, this is "only a modem." The Orbi MUST be set up as a Router (not an Access Point).
(OMG - you have been through a lot!)
OK. Reset the Orbi to factory using the paper clip and turn it off. Connect the WAN (yellow) port on the Orbi is connected to the only ethernet port on the modem, power it all off. Turn on the modem and wait 3-4 minutes. Then power on the Orbi. Please describe the sequence of lights that appear at the top of the Orbi (the "ring" lights)

Well, it started working again with the previous config from earlier this evening restored. Still have solid Amber light. Are options one and two still valid?

I must applogize for sending you down a wrong path. Wasn't my intention. I jumped the gun on mentioning suggestions about modem combo units. Your modem is just a modem. So my suggests are not valid for your modem and Orbi.
So if your seeing amper on the modem, check the modems user manual for was LED indications mean and let us know. I some cases the amber could mean 100Mb vs 1000Mb speeds.
Has a full power OFF of the ISP modem and Orbi RBR for 30 seconds been performed, the npower ON the modem and let it sync, then power ON the RBR.
Try swapping LAN cables between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

There have been several posts recently about the Orbi WAN port being "stuck at 100mb".
Here's one: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Orbi/RBR-50-WAN-Port-Stuck-at-100M-Speed/m-p/1608351
The conclusion reached in several posts was "the cable". In an earlier post, you mentioned swapping in a CAT7 ethernet cable, so I thought, "well, it can't be the cable this time." If the "stats" table definitely shows the WAN port connected at 100mb/full, there seem to be only two possibilities: (a) it's the cable, even though the replacement cable is "new", or (b) the Orbi ethernet port is busted.

Sorry about the bad formatting. For some reason the HTML format would not hold up in the reply window. WAN is 1000mb/s while lan is 100mb/s
