This is my status with the modem port showing the solid orange light.

Yes, HTML doesn't copy and paste very well. Still, the stats page is pretty clear.
The WAN port (from Orbi to modem) is at 1000mb (1 gig), and
The LAN port is at 100mb.
So, solid amber means 1000mb. Problem solved!
