Ethernet/wired connection(s) when using Orbi RBK50 on Verizon FIOS network

I'm considering installing an Orbi system (RBK50) with my existing Verizon FIOS gigabit service (I have a Quantum Gateway G1100 router provided directly through Verizon).  I've found the following instructions for integrating the Orbi with the Verizon Fios service and setting the Orbi as an access point (AP): https://kb.netgear.com/000059619/How-do-I-set-up-the-Orbi-system-that-I-purchased-directly-from-Verizon-to-work-with-Fios

My wireless devices would be connected to the Orbi.  My question is for wired devices, is it better/preferable to directlyconnect them to to the Verizon Quantum Gateway G1100, or connect them to the Orbi unit(s)?  Does it matter?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide
