Factory Reset not accepting 'Password'
I attempted to rename the SSID on my new Orbi to my old SSID and used the same password as my old SSID so I didn't need to reconfigure every device. I turned to WiFi off of my Fios Gigabit router then turned on the Orbi and attempted to connect to the Orbi. It will not accept my password even though I was meticulous about making sure it was correct since it only gave me the single password input line. So I did a factory reset by holding the reset button on the back until it stopped flashing amber. The old ORBI16 SSID comes up now but I cannot login in with any password. Anyone have any suggestions? If I can't login I may as well send it back since it is now just a desk anchor.

How many characters is the SSID pw?
Access the Orbi routers log in page and set a new PW as a quick test, try a simple 1234acbd pw, save settings and apply then reboot the router. Clear out any prior profiles or Forget this Network on your devices then try connecting to the SSID and new PW.
If it works, go back in and set your old PW using same process as above.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I tried several more times and it accpted the password and allowed me to do a fresh install. I haven't attempted to revert to the old SSID so that is a project I will do later. It works fine for the moment. Its currently on the default pw.

Good to hear. I presume something maybe on the client side device may have got hung up. Clear out any old prior wifi profiles or forget this network features. Set up your old SSID and new PW then try again.
Good Luck.
