Power cycle modem. Power cycle Orbi. In all order. Factory reset. Netgear support. Nothing worked. My Orbi wifi router will no longer get a WAN (internet) IP from the Metronet Fiber ONT devi...

I have the exact same issue. Happened after storms last night. It’s showing No IP address found. Internet works fine when plugging in directly to Metronet modem. Metronet says it’s a Netgear issue. Netgear says it’s a Metronet issue. Very frustrating. Any other ideas?

I spent two hours on the phone with Netgear today and they came to the conclusion that it’s a hardware issue (at least on my end) due to the storms. However, I was still showing an IP address. I’d suggest calling their tech support! Open a ticket on their support portal first to help expedite.

- Rich972Apr 09, 2020AspirantI even bought a new Netgear router today (assuming my old Orbi got fried in the storm) and it can’t connect either. So whatever it is, it looks like a broader issue between Netgear and Metronet.

I saw a question earlier, but did not see a response. i.e. the Orbi appears to receive an IP address from Metrolink (which can be seen on the "Internet" panel)
- Devices connected to the Orbi via WiFi definitely have no internet, and
- Devices wired to the Orbi with ethernet cables are...what? (working? also not working?)
What happens if a computer connected to the Orbi attempts to do something not involving DNS?
For example, "ping" an internet address, such as Google's DNS servers at 8.8.8.8? - Rich972Apr 09, 2020AspirantIt does not work being plugged in directly to the Orbi either.

and the "ping"?
or, opening a web page by IP address rather than "name"?

Typing in the IP address directly did not help either.
