Firmware Orbi RBK50
Which firmware is best for Netgear Orbi Rbk50? In 2017, I started using Netgear Orbi rbk50. That is my favourite firmware, but I don't remember that. The latest version( 2.5.1.8 ) the coverage is not...
You are asking a question that has no easy answer.
- For many of us, firmware 2.5.1.8 "works great". No problems.
- A significant number of people experience a bizzare assortment of issues. Dropped internet. Devices missing. System restarting. Sometimes these issues disappear if the Orbi is "Factory Reset" with 2.5.1.8. Sometimes people are so frustrated that they manually download and install 2.3.5.30 from summer, 2019.
- Voxel's custom firmware also "works great" for many people. I have tried it myself and had zero problems.
So, the number one question is, "Is your Orbi working OK? Are you having any problems that you want to fix?" If not, leave it alone and count yourself lucky. It sounds like you are not happy with 2.5.1.8, so you have two options (1) "go back" to 2.3.5.30 or try Voxel.
This is not a happy situation in "Orbi Land."
- Thank for supporting, I never factory reset it because I think it is working good. In my Netgear orbi app and web I don’t see my ip address, it duplicate my devices ?.. I will try to factory reset it
