Firmware Update CBR40 2.3.5.30?
Each time I enter my Orbi app on my iPhone, I'm prompted with a message that shows that there is an update available. The app shows that my current firmware is "2.3.5.12" and the new update is "2.3.5...

Hi LifeAsCason
Welcome to NETGEAR Community!
The latest CBR40 firmware is v2.3.5.12.
The latest RBS50 firmware is v2.3.5.30.
You mentioned that both of the satellites are on the most current version, may I please know the firmware version just to check?
Regards,
Blanca

Here is a screenshot of all of the firmware on my system.
I can see the firmware you mentioned “ v2.3.5.30” in the NETGEAR downloads page for the RBS50 but is it not an older version that the “V2.5.1.8”? It says no new firmware for any of my devices so I’m confused.- FURRYe38Apr 17, 2020Guru - Experienced User
Use a web browser and manually download the FW files from NG support site for the RBS and CBR. Apply the FW files manually using the web browser connected to the RBS first, then the CBR lastly. I would factory reset both and then setup from scratch.

I have the same issue. What I have read is in the update package is only adding new armor feature to your platform to sell you a subscription. If there is a update check feature in your hardware and it doesn’t work as they designed. Then they should offer a free case to call in and get support. Not happy with all the $$$ I have spent CBR40 & 3 RBS20s. I have satellites that randomly disconnect. I have read all things to try. Move them around, made power adjustments, channel changes. At best I can keep everything connected 60-70% of the time. Pain in the ass. Sorry good concept but if you have to become a wireless router guru to keep running. It’s not worth more $$$$

I believe that for CBR 40 you are correct that the current firmware is V2.3.5.12
I have RBS20 satellites (I don't know about RBS50) and their current firmware is V2.3.5.30
I think that the issue we are having is with the App telling us that the firmware needs updating, and is seeing the CBR40 firmware (which is current) and looking at the update for the RBS20 and since the CBR isn't V2.3.5.30 saying it is out of date . . . which it is not.
Make sense. It's an APP problem.

One can manually update the RBS to v16 and then check the app again. Ya, seems that the app maybe incorrect.
