Firmware update
I have spent hours trying to do a manual update on the new firmware. I have downloaded updates for the rbs into any possible place I can. I browse for the update, and choose the image file to upload. No matter where I choose the downloaded file from, I get the message that the file is incorrect. I’ve tried on my iPad and laptop, and get the same result. I get a message from NETGEAR to “check” for firmware updates, but that selection no longer works. I’ve read that the satellites have to be updated first, and can go directly to 32. That hasn’t worked, so I tried to go to 212 first. No luck. Why does NETGEAR make everything so difficult?

What is the file's name and extension that you're trying? Are you sure that you've correctly unzipped the file?
What FW is currently loaded?
What browser are you using? Try IE11 or Firefox or Opera.
Be sure you have a wired PC connected to the RBR.
Be sure your unzipping the .zip files to reveal the file needed.
