Firmware update
I have been trying to do the Orbi firmware update On my app and I keep getting this Response back.( Please see photo.) I have re-booted The Orbi but it has not helped. Anybody out there have the same problem and if so can you help. Rbr40 with 2 Satellites.

Use a wireless or wired PC and web browser to update the FW on the RBS first, then the RBR lastly.

Rbr40 with 2 Satellites.(just my opinion) Netgear has not coped well with the trend toward families where no one has a traditional "computer" with an ethernet port on it. Snazzy as it is, the "app" lacks the capabilities of the web interface (not to mention the telnet interface!). From the number of owners who have posted problems with the app doing firmware updates, the app is especially deficient in this area.
The forum's "go to solution" to numerous issue is to connect a computer to an Orbi LAN port and use a web browser.
A "poor second" is to connect a tablet or smartphone over WiFi and use a web browser. By "poor second", I mean that (a) the screen is often tiny, and (b) entering text and selecting from menus is really cumbersome compared to a computer keyboard and mouse.
In this instance, the only way anyone has found to get around this "app error" is to use the Orbi web interface.
Or.... wait until it starts to get cool in Hell and Netgear fixes the app!
