General wifi quality issues Orbi RBR50
I am in the UK and have the following setup:
Vodafone Wi-Fi router and connected to it the Orbi RBR50 with a single satellite. We have a number of smart devices including several Alexa's, a smart lighting system the uses a Gooee hub. Two Ring devices, a Sonos system, Sky TV, Apple TV, and a selection of the usual tablets, phones computers and laptops. Our house is not that big, and we bought the Mesh system believing it would a) extend the range into the garden b) generally improve the overall connectivity.
When I set up the mesh system I followed the instructions, reconnected everything to it and stopped my Vodafone router from broadcasting. The various controllers and hubs I connected to the main Orbi router via ethernet cables. I have had nothing but trouble. Various devises seem to randomly lose connection and connection speeds can drop from the usual 70mps average to as low as 15/20 mps, even when stood right next to the router. I know its not the internet because if I switch the Vodafone router broadcast back on I get the speeds I should.
I'm looking for some sugestions

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or may not be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).One User Experience/Configuration:
