Have RBR50 and 1 RBS50. Can i hardwire into the satellite make it basically an AP? If so, how?
I have an RBR50 and one RBS50, my house has some rooms that have wired ethernet. I've been using my satellite wirelessly thinking it wouldnt work as an AP, but after doing some poking around it seem...

This may be a semantic question. "Satellite" and "Access Point" are technically different things.
An Orbi satellite definitely can be connected to the Orbi router with ethernet. As this Netgear web page shows:
Notice that the connection goes from one of the Orbi LAN ports to any of the satellite LAN ports. So the connection path is:
Modem to Orbi router. Orbi router to Orbi satellite.
The problem many people face who have ethernet wires to every room is that their Orbi is not located at the wiring hub, and there in only one ethernet cable connecting the wiring hub and the Orbi router (leaving no ethernet cable to run back to the wiring hub and then connect to the satellite.)

Where my internet cable plugs into my RBR50 is at the same spot where the ethernet cables are that run to other rooms so it sounds like i have a good situation.
I can easily run a cable from my rbr50 to the satellite across the house because of this. I just didnt know if i had to do something special to make the satellite work as an AP or just plug an ethernet cable in (from the router) and that's it. Is there any settings i need to change or will it automatically start using the wired connection and turn itself into an access point (with a hard wire connection) instead of a wirelessly connected satellite.

Automatic. Takes few minutes. Sometimes people find that the ethernet cables that were installed years ago were not terminated correctly. If the satellite does not switch over, move it to the same room and connect with an ethernet patch cable. If it works then, there is an issue with the installed ethernet cable or wall jacks.
