Help with Orbi AC3000 please
This router (and 1 satellite) has worked beautifully for a long time except for one issue: most of my devices support 5ghz wifi connection but the connection doesn't work. When my devices connect...

What do you mean by disabling 5Ghz? FYI, 5Ghz or any radio on the Orbi system can not be disabled.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
Be sure to disable any MAC Address randomizers on phones and pads while at home:

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.
Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

Thank you but I can't access any of these because I think the orbi is still stuck in ap mode.
I tried doing a hard reset but still nothing.
I followed your steps, unplugged everything, plugged them back in in the order you specified. I still can't access the orbi using the browser (even when connected with the Ethernet
And the same wifi user name and password still comes up. Which makes me think the hard reset isn't working.

Is the RBR still connected to the host router for the AP mode? If so, look at the host routers connected clients table and find the RBR listed with it's IP address. Use this IP address to try to connect to the RBRs web page and if you can log in and get to the RBRs web page, use the ERASE button to do a factory reset: https://kb.netgear.com/000062081/How-do-I-erase-the-configuration-settings-on-my-Orbi-WiFi-System
- SIUserNov 02, 2023AspirantI'm not exactly sure. So this is what I have connected.
Spectrum's Coaxial goes from the telephone pole into the house to the Spectrum router.
Then the Spectrum router is connected to the Orbi.
The rbr extender is connected in another room.
They all say I'm connected to the wifi but there's no Internet available. Whenever I try to enter the IP address or orbilogin, nothing happens. It times out.
It also does this when connected through the Ethernet cable. I tested the Ethernet cable with another device and it works.
I still cannot seem to enter any orbi settings in order to reset the orbi- FURRYe38Nov 02, 2023Guru - Experienced User
If your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
