How many satellites for Orbi (RBK50) - More satellites equals better efficiency?

Hi All - would appreciate some advise in purchasing a new mesh system for the first time. I am seriously considering getting the  (RBK50) AC3000. I live in a suburban home that has 2 floors (ground and 1st floor) and a total area of around 2,300 square feet.

My question relates to the number of required satellities that would give the overall best performance (speed and stability) for my connection. I know that Netgear recommends 1 router and a single sattellite for homes up to 5,000 sq ft, but would I receive overall better performance with a 1 router and 2 satellites?

The router will be based in the living room on the ground floor and I have my own working space (as does my brother) in my bedroom upstairs. Would appreciate your help on this. Thanks.

WiFi coverage depends on the dimension of the space and composition of interior walls.

Antennas are "omnidirectional", so access points placed centrally tend to cover more usable space than those placed against exterior walls (where up to half of the radio signal is going "outside").  Alas, ISP connections are almost always against an exterior wall.

My guess is that one router and two satellites will be more than adequate, resulting in great WiFi coverage of both floors.
