How to disconnect 5Ghz network in Orbi Router 4G LTE - LBR20 to configure a wifi camera 2.4Ghz?

Hello,

I tried unsuccessfully to set up a Wifi Camera (supporting only in 2.4GHz and which is not able to connect to any Wi-Fi with 5GHz wireless frequency) with my 4G LTE Router Orbi - Model LBR20 which use both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I need to temporarily delete/forget the 5GHz network the time to set up my camera. Is it possible to set different names for 2.4GHz and 5GHz or disable 5GHz Wi-Fi on my LBR20 router to avoid the problem?

  • I have the same issue of 2.4GHz cameras on a dual network. That should not be an issue. You should be able to set up the camera as per the manufacturer's instructions regardless of wifi network fequency. The camera will only see 2.4GHz when it does its scan for available networks. If I remember correctly, the instructions had me plug it in by LAN cable first to set it up and download firmware updates (which can NOT be done over wifi - ask me how I know...). During setup it found the available wifi and I was able to set them up. After wifi setup was done, I could disconnect the LAN cable and do further setup and customizing via wifi.
