How to easily update the firmware to the RBS50?

This post identifies two different Orbi satellites: RBS50 and RBS50Y (outdoor).

Both can be updated the same way:

• Download the desired firmware from the Orbi support site:
  https://www.netgear.com/support/ 
  by entering the model number in the search box, then selecting "Downloads"
• Unpack the *.img file from the *.zip file
• Connect to the web site of the satellite using a browser, as in http://<ip of satellite>
  example: if the satellite IP is 192.168.1.4, then browse to http://192.168.1.4
• Enter the Orbi web admin credentials ("admin" and password)
• Select the bottom menu item: Firmware Update
• Browse to the location of the unpacked *.img file
• After a few minutes, the firmware will be updated and the satellite will restart.
