How to increase wifi speed (130 mbs fed to router but 39 mbs max wifi )
Hello, I have upgraded my Internet provider to a 120 mbs feed into my home. I am actually getting 130 mbs at the RBR50 Orbi router. However, the wifi speed in my home reaches only 39 mbs. How can...

What wireless devices are you using to speed test with? Is it connecting at 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz?
Your ISP modem already has a built in router and wifi:

This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

I did bridge the modem. That was the first thing that I did.
The Orbi router is connected to it with a Ethernet cable and there is only the Orbi wifi network available for my use.
I did all my test with my ipod, on 2.4 GHz.

The iPod will be limited in this wifi design and support. I presume it maybe where your problem is.
I recommend testing with a different device, like a phone, pad, laptop or PC with wireless capabilities to compare speed results.

I checked with a 5 yr old ipad an obtained 45 mbs.
But then I checked with my laptop and got 128 mbs !!
So it is the output device (ipod, ipad, laptop) that throttles the wifi speed and not the router / satelite combination.Interesting.

iPods are not know for there wifi performances. Pads have better wifi, depends on there design and support. To ensure your seeing good speeds on wifi, always check with a laptop or phone or something that has a good wifi design.
Enjoy.
