How to make a custom DNS propagate to endpoints
Pretty simple question/problem:
I have a custom DNS server defined on my "Internet" page in my Orbi setup. However, all the endpoints in my network say their DNS server is the Orbi's IP (192.168.1.1).
How can I make it so the custom DNS I'm using is propagated to each individual endpoint on my network?
This is not the way consumer routers function.
Each device on the LAN is told to use the router to resolve DNS and the router then uses whatever server has been defined.
The only way to have individual devices bypass the router for DNS inquiries is to configure each of them to use a specific DNS server rather than what they are told through DHCP.
