How to temporarily disable 5ghz mode on Rbk53?

I'm unsuccessfully trying to get some smart devices onto my network but these devices require the 2.4 ghz band to connect. I have tried to take the devices outside further away from the router to set...

This might be a simple mechanism but it's obvious Netgear needs to do a better job getting the word to users rather than have them come in here and seek help.
