how to turn of 5GHX radio on the Orbi router
I am looking to turn off the 5ghz on the Orbi RBR50 and RBS50, is there a way to do this? I have some in home automation devices that can only use 2.4ghz singal and I need to be able to turn off the ...

Let's review. You began by asking how to disable the 5GHz radio in
your router, so that you could configure some (still-unidentified) IoJ
gizmo, using some (still-unidentified) app, on some (still-unidentified)
phone.
I suggested that this was not necessary. So far as I can tell from
your "I figured it out" message, this was correct. I also suggested
that you forget about that idea, and "follow the standard
gizmo-configuration procedure", which you apparently did, with some
success.
I'm very sorry if you found "condescending", my futile attempts to
elicit _any_ useful information at all about what you were doing and
with what you were doing it. Sadly, the weakness of my psychic powers
makes it difficult to give detailed "this will work" or "try doing this"
advice based on descriptions like "some in home automation devices",
"The manufacturer", "the app", and "my phone".
Considering that you provided neither clay nor straw, it seems to me
unrealistic to expect not only a load of bricks, but also to get a
stylish parasol built from them. All in all, I see little reason for
you to complain about the advice which you got.
When asking for free advice from volunteers, it would be courteous if
the questioner provided some useful information, either spontaneously,
or when asked specifically for it. If you think that the answers you
got were less than satisfactory, then please try to imagine what it's
like for anyone who might try to be helpful in the face of an
information-free problem report which begins by asking how to implement
some misguided non-solution to the problem, rather than providing any
useful information about the situation.
> The iPhone connection is 5g by default [...]
I suppose that "The iPhone" is a little better than "my phone". And,
if Apple made only one model of iPhone, then perhaps I could have
gleaned some useful info from that, if it had appeared some messages
earlier. But they don't, and it didn't.
> [...] hence the reason I wanted to turn off the 5ghz radio(temporarily)
Still not necessary, as I suggested originally. (Did you ever do
that? Did it help?)

Not really. The whole gizmo-configuration procedure can be handled
between the gizmo and the phone/tablet which hosts "the app". The
router is not involved in this operation; the gizmo operates its own
little (2.4GHz) wireless network, and the phone/tablet+app connects to
that.
Once the user has used the app to transfer the router's normal
wireless credentials to the gizmo, it is restored to its normal mode,
and it connects to the router's wireless network. At that time, the
2.4GHz-only gizmo will see only the 2.4GHz radio in the router, and the
SSID of any 5GHz radio will be of no interest to the gizmo, because IT'S
A 2.4GHz-ONLY GIZMO!!! I don't know which part of "2.4GHz-only" is the
tricky part.

Correct. I asked a simple question. I shouldn’t need to explain why a simple yes you can and here’s how - or alternatively no you can’t would suffice. Your reasoning for not needing to is immaterial. And personally I’m not offended- you are obviously just a **bleep**.

Yes, and then went on to explain why:

Perhaps you're right. Perhaps I should have ignored your stated
intent, and let you waste your time chasing the answer to your simple
question, instead of trying to provide any useful guidance toward what
seemed to be your actual goal, which I assumed to be: getting your
(still unspecified) IoJ gizmo configured.
> [...] Your reasoning for not needing to is immaterial. [...]
This must be some new meaning for "immaterial".
> [...] you are obviously just a **bleep**.
Thank you for your carefully considered evaluation. Should you ever
return with a similarly misguided question, I'll try to be less helpful.
