I'm sooo disappointed

Yesterday, after many months of study and reflection, I finally purchased that famed Orbi kit to replace my Ubiquiti router and Asus AP. I was especially interested in the extended coverage, wired backhaul and ability to shut wifi down at night.
I followed the instructions and everything went smoothly. The router and satellite next to each other were able to sync and upgraded themselves, (no newer version available) nice !

But things started to get weird when I installed the Orbis at their definitive place, the satellite could not see the router through the Ethernet backhaul. After 1 hour of trials, reboots and resync I found out that these guys have initially upgraded themselves from 1.4 to 2.0 but 2.1 was required to enable the ethernet backhaul. How do you upgrade to 2.1.1.16 ? You have to download each file, unpack it and install it manually in the router and then in the satellite, ridiculous !
Once that was done, the network started to work and I could dig deeper in the configuration to realize that the wifi signal scheduler that was once present in 1.4 is gone with 2.1, sad !

Add that the coverage (and the performance) with 2 devices isn't really that much better than what my (well positioned) single Asus RT-AC66 was providing and you could understand why I feel so disappointed !

Icing on the cake: the "advanced configuration" doesn't let me do very advanced stuff like I did on my Ubiquiti+Asus setup. As an example, you can define an NTP server but not your actual timezone, not everybody live on GMT ! Is there an hidden "Super Advanced Configuration Mode" I'm missing somewhere, or a version 3 that will solve these issues soon ?
