Enabled remote management under advanced setup
I’ve seen my router online before latest firmware
I’ve factory reset since Kate’s router firmware
Can’t upload screen shot here for some error message

Some thoughts:
- Remote Management under Advanced Setup is accessed using a web browser, pointed at the Orbi public IP address, and the default port number is 8443. The Orbi "app" uses a path through the Netgear "cloud" into the Orbi router. So, the iPhone app is never going to connect to the Orbi with this type of Remote Management. A web browser on the iPhone should connect (although the iPhone screen is too small to display the Orbi web interface very well).
- A "Factory Reset" clears all of the settings on the Orbi router, including Remote Management. After a factory reset, the user has to (a) reload a configuration that has been saved previously, or (b) set up the entire Orbi from start, including activating Remote Management.
