IPv6 ICMP Filtered (old thread reference)

It's been a while since I've done a IPv6 test, so I did one today for giggles - I myself like using http://ipv6-test.com

With my Orbi, the best I've ever scored on this is 17/20 (due primarily to ICMP Flitering), but as of this evening, I'm now consistently scoring 19/20, which is the best I ever scored with my previous Asus routers.

I know there's been grumbling in the past here on the Netgear forums about IPv6 ICMP filtering issues, and that seems to perhaps finally be resolved (perhaps the recent firmware update, I suppose?)  Well, knock on wood it's resolved, anyway! ;)

Just thought I'd share the news...

Cheers, Chris

PS - I'm on Comcast for service, fwiw

  • I can finally confirm that this is indeed working (at least the first couple of tries doing this)

Using an R7000 with firmware V1.0.7.10_1.2.3 on Rogers Cable here in Canada. 19/20.
