Is it possible to use satellite just as a switch?

Hello,

I no longer need my Orbi as a mesh system, however I would like to continue to use the satellite as a gigabit switch.  Will it continue to function (only as a switch of course), if I remove the router?

Thanks...

For certain WiFi will no longer function.  Please give it a try and report what happens. It certainly cannot harm the satellite.

I much prefer my inexpensive gigabit switches.  8 ports for under $30 and very small.

Plus it uses a lot less power with a simple switch versus using a satellite as a switch. :)
