Issues with devices disconnecting often: Orbi RBK50
Having an issue with a couple of my devices not being able to stay connected to my Orbi system. Smart tv's and dvr's. They are both able to connect to either 2.4 and 5 ghz. I can manually connect ...

a couple things.
1. What firmware is on the orbi router and then the satellites?
2. how far apart is the orbi router from the satellites? (they need a minimum of 30 ft between them)
3. what is the home made from? (certain materials block wifi)
4. what modem/gateway is the orbi connected to?

1. Looking at orbi app - firmware 2.7.3.22 both satellite and router.
2. Have one satellite - it is about 40-45 feet away from router.
3. "Regular" home - wood/sheetrock
4. connected to spectrum ubee (not sure of the model, not home right now).
All devices are working great, just the tv's and dvr's seem to connect (when I go thru their wifi setup menu) then disconnect on their own sometime later in the day/night. When I try to watch something remotely I get the "not connected" message.
Thanks

How old is the orbi?
Has it been going on since it was first purchased?
Have you tried moving the satellite? Maybe its got a poor backhaul connection (things in the walls like hvac can block signal)
I'd check on that ubee model. Several of them are modem router combo devices
Do any of your wired devices drop?
Have you tried moving a satellite by a tv and hardwiring it in and seeing if it drops?

Orbi is a month old. This just started within the past week. If I move the satellite it will defeat the purpose of it being at the other end of my house. Yes, I can try it for a day or two to see what happens but it will mean it is too close to the router - my house isn't that big.
The ubee is a modem/router.
I only have one device wired and it hasn't dropped to my knowledge.
Feeling like I either have to live with this or reconfigure the orbi using the not recommended "procedure". I've had many netgear routers/modems thru the years and always some little problem, which pushes me to buy a better model. Can't this time as the orbi is new but will be my last netgear.
