The camera does appear as a "Connected Device", correct?
(just not connected to the RBS50Y satellite?)
WiFi devices that are designed to be mobile usually have WiFi drivers that constantly scan the available WiFi access points looking for a "better connection". WiFi devices that are designed to remain in one place (not "mobile") sometimes have WiFi drivers that select a WiFi access point and stop looking.
Have you tried power cycling the camera? All the camera should remember is the WiFi name (SSID) and password. When it powers up, it should find a number of WiFi access points, recognize that it knows the password to some of them, and select the "best connection" from the available choices.
