laptop connecting to 2.4G but not 5
I have a Dell laptop. How do I force it to use 5. nstead of 2.4? It's comptabile and other devices, such as my Android phone, automatically do this. 2.4 and 5 SSID's are already turned off.

you don't.....and what difference does it make unless you have underlying reasons.
what does this "2.4 and 5 SSID's are already turned off"....???

Some have suggested that turning off the SSDI's of the 2.4 radio would fix the trick. It wouldn't in my case, as both are already turned off for security reasons. That way, it makes it harder for a wifi sniffer to find the network.

still wondering...what difference does it make unless you have underlying reasons. does the laptop connect to your network?
