laptop connecting to 2.4G but not 5

I have a Dell laptop.  How do I force it to use 5. nstead of 2.4?  It's comptabile and other devices, such as my Android phone, automatically do this.    2.4 and 5 SSID's are already turned off.

I have the latest driver for the wireless adapter, a Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165. I looked, but I couldn't find any option to limit it to 5. 

 

I looked under advanced, advanced settings,  but I couldn't find the RBR setting you mentioned. (And I don't know what RBR is).

RBR is the Orbi router unit. Log into it's web page and make the adjustments there.

    i reduced the 2.4 radio to 25%, and then it connected o 5. Now I can test. Thanks!
