Last firmware update appears to have killed the WiFi radio in my RBR750.

Definitely reconsidering Netgear for my next router. My RBR750's WiFi radio seems to have been bricked by the last firmware update. A little designed obsolescence maybe?

Did you try a factory reset?

    Firmware downgrade?

How do you know its "bricked"

Not likely.  As plemans mentioned, it is probably a good idea to double check what is going on.

    • Do a Factory Reset (paper clip in that tiny hole, for 15 seconds, etc.)
    • Got a GREEN light on the power LED?
    • Let the unit power up for 3-4 minutes.  Does not need to be connected to the internet for this step.
    • When it finally stabilizes, does a WiFi signal appear with an SSID/password that matches what is printed on the product label (bottom of the case)?
