CrimpOn I've thought the same thing since day one, when we first started installing them. Hence the reason why we only set them up the one way with automatic failover support on.
One would be better off purchasing a regular Orbi system and getting a hot spot device from their ISP.

Hi,
Thansk for all the answers!
The setup:
- A fiber modem is connected to the WAN port, signal works fine
- A Sim card is inserted in the orbi and the signal works fine (tested in always 3G/4g to make sure)
- I bought this specific router for the failover option, The Orbi is configured in failover mode
- The orbi is configured in DHCP
Two issues
1) When My fiber modem is still up but i recived no internet signal from fiber line, the Orbi router does not switch to 3G/4G: It seems the orbi assumes that as it still gets a signal from the fiber modem, but without internet connection, everything is fine
2) I am still looking for a way to have my orbi taking over the fixed IP's assigned by my fiber modem
thanks!

So i tried to deactivate the DHCP, the clean way with fiber modem reboot and orbi reboot
A real mess, none of my devices recieved an IP adress, i was unable to access the modem this way and reactivate the DHCP, it ended in a full reset.
I'm still ver blocked with my issues, any insider tipp would help me a lot
