Make new satellite have same network name as existing network

I have an existing orbi network (an rbk50 in AP mode and a RBS50 satellite). I have succesfully added another satellite but when trying to conect to the wife this new satellite's wifi network shows up with a different name rather than being the same nane as the existing network.

How do I make it so I just have a single wifi network name and password?

Thanks!

Rob

The user is not supposed to do anything for all Orbi units to have a single WiFi network name and password.  It should happen automatically.

It appears that this new satellite (RBS50) was not added successfully.  I suggest that you delete the satellite using the Orbi web interface, Attached Devices screen, do a Factory Reset on the satellite (paperclip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMw4ePACgc4 , and then use the "Add an Orbi Satellite" menu item (at the bottom of the home page.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded on the RBR and RBS?

Version needs to be the same on the RBS as whats on the RBS?

What model RBS did you add to the RBR?

      Thank you

As advised I updated the firmware, factory reset the new satellite and readded. It took about 15 minutes for the devices to all sort themselves out but now working very fast and just a single network.
