Making a Back-up of settings

I know a lot of people here already know how to do this, but this is for some of the new people.

After each firmware update, I use it for about 10 days to make sure of no hiccups. I then make a back-up Copy of those settings so I can restore from them should something happens. (i.e. Bad Firmware up date, Mistake by Me, general failure)

Go to: orbilogin > Advanced>Administration>Back-up settings>Save a copy of current settings> press Back up button

I save to my desktop and rename it OrbiBkup. Whiel your there you will see a place for restore from backup. this is where you will load this file just incase you have a failure.

Some time in the future you will need this and be glad you have it.

Remember evry time you update firmware. Use the new one for about a week or so then make a back up and delet the old one if you want.

  • Thanks for the advice. I never really thought about doing a backup. Going to do it now then praise your name when/if I ever need to use it!
