manual switching from 2.4 to 5.0

My computer automaticly selects 2.4 G and that is so overloaded that I am only getting 10MBPS yet on my other computer using 5.0G I get 300MBPS.  How can I get devices to switch to 5G manually?

You can set the computer wifi adapter to prefer 5GHz.

It's only the client that can choose which band to connect to in  a single SSID.

In My Windows Computer, in the Wireless Adapter Settings, I have the following:

I did not see similar settings in my MacBook.
