Max number of connections RBR20 - Cannot get past 14 or 15
Hello, I cannot seem to get past 14 or 15 connections in for my Orbi two pack RBR20s. I had purchased it but then stopped using it while in a different home so it went into storage. I brought it ba...

Yes that is correct. One router and one satellite. I did check the DHCP pool. I suppose I could try dropping it to lower the pool size to .2 - .100 to see if I get a different reaction. Any other ideas? Have you come across this before?

New to me, for sure. There should be no reason that enabling Guest WiFi should make any difference.
Exactly what happens when more devices attempt to connect?
"Nothing"? They just wait...and wait... and wait. And never connect?

What happens is that I show multiple devices connected and then one will just stop responding. I can go and shut off wifi on another device and suddenly the original one comes back to life. If I do not do that and just leave it, it seems like after about 3-4 minutes it shows disconnected. If I try to reconnect it says it is the wrong password. I will reset the system again and try using an entirely new SSID since these match the old SSID and password.

Hi allanon,
Thank you for your post!
What is the FW installed on your RBR20?

Honestly I am not sure what the FW is that is installed. I thought there was just the default one. I have that Armor subscription turned on but it is a trial only. That seems to be reporting fine. However, I have an overall update. I ended up resetting once again and put an entirely new SSID on there and a different Guest as well. I now seem to be able to get past 15 and I currently see 17 on there. I have not experienced any drops anymore and it seems to be better. I almost guess that since the old SSIDs matched and all my wireless clients knew about it, there may have been some conflicts there. So far so good but I can continue to monitor. It's been two days now and it is going better. So far I have not locked in any dhcp addresses, reduced the dhcp pool or anything like that and left it to mostly default settings. I will give it a week or so before I start tuning it further. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
