Some have reported better speeds when in AP mode. Again, PPPoE seems to have problems on Orbi.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Be sure to try a different wired PC to compare speeds.

50 series Orbi supports near 900Mbps speeds WAN to LAN.
