Media Server

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can run a media server on the Orbi RBK20?

My intended set up would be to connect an external USB drive to the router and use this as a media server for common access in my home; mainly for music. But as there isn't a USB port for the external USB drive, I guess I'll have to run the server off one of my Macs. 

So, how do I run a media server on the Orbi RBK20? I’m on a exclusively Apple environment — Macs and iPhones.
