Multiple orbi routers
Well I have a Orbi wifi system in my house. So I have one router, and 3 satilites on each floor. But I also want wifi in my porch in the garden. But the porch is to far away from any satilite to conn...
Only the RBS50Y is outdoor rated.
You can connect a RBR in AP mode however this would be using a different SSID name and PW and be a separate wifi signal for access. You can do this. Otherwise, no, the RBR can't be used like a RBS to connect to another Orbi system wirelessly. Only works in router mode or AP mode.
Alright, but I do have a internet cable running from the house to the porch
A LAN cable? If so then the 2nd RBR can be used in AP mode as a 2ndary AP. Use a different SSID Name for this one.
I would also turn down the power output of this 2nd RBR in AP mode from 100% to say 50 or 25%.
