My 6-yr old RBR-50 finally bit the dust?
Unless it was caused by me unplugging the ethernet to the modem (unlikely me thinks). I was configuring another mesh wifi router with satellites to bring with me to a trip and gift it to someone. Once done, I plugged back the cable modem's ethernet cable to the RBR-50. I did a cable modem restart and while waiting, I restarted the RBR-50 via the desktop browser screen (192.168.1.1). All was working fine thru ethernet though Xfinity had a message there will be a maintenance outage at 1am.
Given the S.O. was asking why the wifi was down while I configuring the other router/satellite, I checked the wifi in the morning before going to work. Nada.. no SSID broadcast. I went to the router and noticed white light blinking. I saw the satellites were both blinking blue in the other rooms. I can't get to the router via 192.168.1.1 so I unplugged it and plugged it. I think my sequence was press power button to power off, unplug jack, press power button to remove any residual electricity, press power button to power off, plug in power, press power button. Usually I'll see the green light blink fast to use up residual power.
No white light blinking with power now. I cannot get to it via the IP# or mobile app. I'm like crap... removed the jacket and put down stuff. I did the 30-30-30 reset. Still nothing. I do that a few times and still nothing. I "thought" I saw a Orbi** SSID in the middle of things. I'm not sure what the numbers were then and later I read the router says Orbi98. That Orbi** SSID disappeared and I cannot replicate it right now having more time to fiddle. I also turned off all 3 satellites back then (and now) in between to make sure it's just the router and no wired or wifi backhaul was happening. If any, I just had the ethernet from PC to router to remove all variables and no ethernet cable to cable modem.
I managed to revive this in early 2021 since it seemed bricked after a firmware update (and learned don't update firmware unless you have to per some posts). I did it via telnet. I'd like to still revive it and have as a backup just in case before I sell off the satellites. 1gb is more than plenty but I'm eyeing to ugprade to take advantage of my ISP's bandwidth I'm paying for (1400'ish mpbs download). We're using the one I'm bringing next week in the meantime.
Anything else to try to revive it? while I'm searching for that post how to telnet. I'd appreciate if someone has it handy. I thought I bookmarked it but can't find it.

Try a 30-30-30 reset on the RBR?

i may be mistaken on the orbi ssid i saw. it popped up again last night but i think it's a far away neighbor because it doesn't show itself. i just noticed it having the available wifi's on another screen.
