First, attempt to set up the camera by following the directions.  Most cameras learn the WiFi name and password by the app creating a "smart code" and pointing the camera at the screen. "Bing".

All this alarming "MUST have 2.4G WiFi" is a lot like saying, "Care WILL NOT DRIVE without engine!!!!"  Oh, **bleep**.  My car also has a radio.  I must find a way to turn off the radio or the car will not drive!  Orbi provides a 2.4G WiFi signal.  The camera should connect.

If that doesn't work, please come back and describe the specific camera (so we can look up the User Manual) and the point where the setup failed.

Here is one of dozens of messages that cover the scenario that you describe:

I found it in the usual way, a search of this community.

There are many more where that came from. My guess is that CrimpOn can provide similar links.

Out of interest, what is "my camera"? Did you try a search for it around here? Maybe someone else has already grappled with this issue.
