I am using a RBR20 Orbi router and it keeps dropping the signal or gives really poor speed. I have 580mps total for my wifi. I have spectrum and the said their modem isn’t the issue. I reboot it and it shows purple then blinking white then nothing after about 2 minutes. Help please. I’m pretty tech savvy but I’m stumped. Plug my nighthawk into same modem and it works fine.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. Does the top ring LED turn on PINK when this happens? What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch. Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Thank you so much for all this information. I will try tonight doing all this . Some I have done already with no improvement. House is 1700sq. Satellite is about 30ft away. I’m not sure how to change ip but I will try to figure that out. I will perform a full reset and new setup tonight. I really appreciate this since I’m out of the window for tech support.

I have tried everything mentioned in the above windows. Only thing I haven't done is mess with the ip pool numbers because I don't know how or where to find them. . My modem is Spectrum . My orbi isn't blinking Pink when I reset it or anything. I am getting from my Orbi router 580mbps but my 4k max firestick which is 10ft away is only getting 38mbps. Seems very slow. Firmware version is up to date.

Be sure to turn OFF the RBS when testing the Firestick. You can change IP address pool range under Advanced tab/Setup/Lan Setup on the RBRs web page. Have you set 40Mhz Co-existence as well on the RBR?
