N300 WNR2000v3 Router Connecting to Roomba i3
I recently purchased an iRobot Roomba i3 but have been unable to set it up due to Wi-Fi connection issues. I run through the Roomba set up, but when it gets to the point of connecting to Wi-Fi I get ...

Arris SBB200? Do you mean SB8200? There isn't an SBB
If so, you're bottleneck is big time on that router. Its a old base model N300 devices with only 10/100mbps connections. Its not gigabit either. An upgrade in the future might be a good plan.
What security are you using on the router?

Thank you! Here are the answers to your questions:
The WNR2000 doesn't have 5ghz.
That is interesting to learn.
What firmware is on it?
It is on Firmware v1.1.2.18.
What modem/gateway is it connected to?
It is connected to an Arris SURFboard SBB200 cable modem.

Thanks for your help on this thread. I ended up purchasing a new NETGEAR Nighthawk AC1900 R7000 Wi-Fi Router. Still trying to resolve the iRobot Roomba i3 issue however. NETGEAR technical support did not have any suggestions when I called them.

the problem is occuring on more than 1 router?
Seems to point more towards a roomba issue then.
what security are you using?
Is your phone on 2.4ghz or 5ghz during setup?
Make sure with the router to avoid any special characters/spaces in the ssid and password. I've seen poorly coded IoT devices struggle with them.
If you enable the guest network on the router and leave it open (no security for testing) does the roomba connect?
Maybe it just needs to connect and update itself

Seems to point more towards a roomba issue then. >> I'm beginning to think it might be something with the roomba. Next step is to call them again.
what security are you using? >> Security on the router is WPA2-PSK
