NAT issue for switch / in general - RBR50
Hi all, I have been having NAT issues for the past 4 months since I moved house. I have a public IP address so I believe that means it isn't double NAT? My setup is: Main orbi ethernet into ps4...

It ended up being an issue on my ISPs end. I contacted them and they were able to fix it instantly.
It isn't a fun solution but it was the only thing that fixed it.

I believe the consensus is that forwarding every possible UDP port through the Orbi to a specific computer will render the network unusable.
The traditional approach to this problem is to set the device as the DMZ server. (I believe) what this means is that the device will receive every packet that comes to the modem at the same time as the Orbi receives them. The DMZ device is supposed to ignore any packets that are not "intended" for it. So, for example, when someone playing Animal Crossing tries to open a connection to your Nintendo Switch, the Orbi will ignore it (the Orbi ignores all connection attempts except those that are specifically opened), but the Nintendo will accept it.
So, it is a mystery why putting the Nintendo Switch into the DMZ did not work.
Can you please look at the IP address the network has given your Orbi on the "Internet" side? (This is on the Advanced Tab Home Page, in the box labelled "Internet"). Is this a "public" or a "private" IP address?
(Private IP addresses begin with 10.0.0, 192.168, or 172.16. All other IP addresses are "public".)
Thanks
