We always ask, "what is the Orbi connected to?" i.e. brand and specific model number of the (modem? modem/router?)
Is the Orbi in the default (router) or in Access Point (AP) mode?
Did the Orbi replace something, or was it added to something?
Thanks

Q:We always ask, "what is the Orbi connected to?" i.e. brand and specific model number of the (modem? modem/router?)
A:The Orbi router is connected to a Vodafone NZ ISP supplied modem (Vodafone Utra Hub). Wifi has been disabled on this modem.
Q:Is the Orbi in the default (router) or in Access Point (AP) mode?
A: Where do we confirm this? I believe that it would be set to the default setting.
To confirm, the key issue is that while we have a live internet feed via Orbi, with streaming and other downloads working via wifi, functionality across multiple devices is impaired with inability to download apps on Iphones/Ipad, update news feeds via news apps and the noted issues with the Samsung TV which is connected via Wifi (LG TV doesnt appear to have similar issues and is functioning fine via wifi).
As noted on other feeds there apears to be conflict between the settings of the ISP provided modem and the Orbi router that is creating 'noise' in the connectivity.
Hopefully the above is clear but fire through any further questions if not. keen to revolve this

That is not enough information. As CrimpOn asked, does it have a make and model number?
Most ISP "hubs" are actually modem/routers. This means that you have may two routers on your network. That is a recipe for chaos, and can cause the symptoms you see.
This explains some of the drawbacks.
What is Double NAT? | Answer | NETGEAR SupportTurning off the wifi does not disable the router on the hub.

I don't understand that. Too many "sentences"rolled into one. But if you are saying that you have a Samsung TV and an LG TV connected to the Orbi network and one is working while the other one doesn't, then that hints strongly at a problem with the TV. The Orbi router neither knows nor cares about the make of the TVs.
Samsung TVs are regular topics here because they have connection problems. The solution is often on the TV, not the router. The Samsung set up regime can be a pain. That is why I ditched wifi in favour of Powerline Ethernet.
It would still be nice to know what you see when you try to download apps on Iphones/Ipad or update news feeds. Does it just sit there going nowhere? Is there a "cannot connect" message? Does it end up saying "timeout"?
My money is on the ISP's modem/router being the source of IP addressing issues on your local network. That it does wifi pretty well guarantees that it is also a router. Does the hub also have a row of Ethernet ports on the back?
You could test this by putting the Orbi into wireless access point mode. This is a common strategy for people who have a router "upstream" of an Orbi. For details on that, consult the manual.
If you visit the support pages:
you can feed in the model number and find all the documentation for your hardware.

Thanks for responses.
