Netgear Orbi RBK50 - ethernet backhaul

My Netgear Orbi RBK50 (AC3000, 1 router + 1 sattelite) is not giving the desired wireless coverage on both floors, as the sattelite is providing slower wifi speeds. I'm planning on making an ethernet...

    modem----->orbi router-----switch/satellites

    because if the modem truly is in bridge/modem only mode, you need the router running dhcp/nat.

    I'll have to sadly go Modem -- Orbi router --> Sattelite.
