When the RBR is configure for AP mode the RBS will work as extenders when wirelessly connected. Or you can configure the RBS for wired back haul which for the most part, would be AP mode for the RBS:
They still have to be connected behind the RBR in AP mode.- cribbe8Aspirant
So if i connect the RBS to teh RBR with ethernet cable (backhaul) the RBS will act as a AP? Not just a wierd mesh?
Do i have to do any config in the RBS or just plug in the cable for it to go in to backhaul mode?
Its still apart of the MESH system as the wired backhaul is used vs wireless. However it's mostly an AP at that point when using wired.
I recommend wirelessly connecting the RBS first to ensure they get connected, then connect the ethernet cable lastly. I recommend setting up IP address reservations on the host router for the RBS as well. Help maintain a IP address that you can always connect to if needed.
