NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi Network System

Hi, I have recently purchased  a Netgear Orbi Whole home mesh system, AC1200. Being a bit thick I am confused. When I watch you tube videos on setting it up they always show or make reference to a Modem and a router being seperate things? What I need to know is do I disconnect my second generation Vodafone Fibre broadband router (THG3000), bin it then replace with the Orbi, or do I connect in the Orbi to the router??

    If you don't need your Vodafone router get rid of it.  Otherwise you'll have configure either one in the access point mode which is not recommended
