Netgear RBR850 wireless speeds are dropping
I have an RBR850 with satellite and since I got it about a hear ago, it has been working great. When I set it up and did wireless and wired speed tests, they were screaming fast and blew my socks off...
I just tried something after I posted that message, but on my phone that I was only getting 20Mbps on, I "forgot" the wireless connection, then added it again and then I was getting around the same rates as my laptop (150Mps), but it only lasts for a few minutes then I'm back down to 20. I think it has something to do with bumping it down to 2.5Ghz, because when I first connect, it will put my phone on 5Ghz, then toss it down to 2.5, but the 2.5 band shouldn't be so slow that it's giving me 20Mbps.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum.
