Network Name vs. SSIDs
As I mentioned previously I am a network novice. I was attempting to separate devices onto either the 2.4G or 5G networks. Both the 2.4G and 5G have unique SSIDs and the network name for both SSIDs i...

Thank you CrimpOn (Master). This better explains the issue to me as a novice. I've been involved in this industry since '69 and a network user since the beginning. I did say user. My network experience basically started when I retired and started a home network. Most of the time I've assistence from my son and son-in-law. Both have moved so their assistance is limited. I started playing with my home network after a service call from our network provider. It appeared the netwrk was dropping our streaming service. The service tech suggested we rename our 2.4G and 5G so the devices would not be confused as to which one to use.
At this time I believe I have everything back to the way it was initially setup.
Again, thank you!

The Tech had good intentions, but faulty reasoning. Let's suppose I can call you with my cell phone or with my house phone. Both will connect and we can talk. Does it matter whether I use the cell phone or the house phone? Suppose I am "confused" and pick the house phone rather than the cell phone. We still can talk.
If a connection has enough bandwidth to stream, it will stream.
If a streaming problem remains, please describe the situation. There are some really knowledgeable people who participate in the forum and "have seen everything."
