Network setting when using Netgear M1 & LB2120 & Orbi RBK40 at the same time
I am living in a rural area which landline is not available. I had M1/M2 with Orbi RBR40 but that was not too stable as M1/M2 sometimes would be too "hot" and stop responding. The downtime is so...

Does the LB unit have a DMZ feature, if so, you can you this feature for the RBR in router mode.
If you have heat problems with some units, one can put a laptop cooler under these unites to help keep the cool. I keep on under my main router 24/7. Zero heat problems.

Thanks for your suggestion. Glad that DMZ function might help to let Orbi take up the router role.
I searched from the internet and found there are security issues to the router if I use DMZ with the modem. Is Orbi able to set up a firewall to prevent this happening?
Thanks again~

ALL Orbi RBK systems have built in Firewalls.

Thanks~ So I can treat my LB2120 as a "modem" though it is in a router mode, as LB2120 would bypass all the data through. And the only difference is that the IP address of Orbi router is re-assigned as practically it's a device under LB2120.
