New firmware released 1.11.0.20
Some people were saying the 1.11.0.N beta was helping with a lot of issues. There is a new version released, but the release notes don't list any fixes. Has anybody tried the new version to see if it...

Hello everyone
If you are currently on the beta 1.11.0.8 on RBR50 do not update to the latest live release.

DarrenM,
Is Netgear "trying" to make us angry?
Can you please provide us instructions concerning "how to not update" to the new .20 version. Will Orbi not auto-update to this new version given the beta is .8.
You finally provide a working beta, and now you GA a newer version that does not have these fixes for connection drops???????????????????????
Really???????????

Good thing I’m on a business trip and didn’t have time to update. :)

We released this firmware release to target some wireless connectivity issues on the RBR40 related SKUs (RBK40, RBK43, RBK30, etc), including the Macbook issue. As a reminder, we continuously to work to improve the wireless connectivity and performance and fix bugs that are brought to our attention.

"How do you become a beta tester"
Buy the product, congratulations you're the tester of a beta release, whether they call it that or not. Good lord hire a new QC manager.

I have the RBK40 and in the two months I have owned it experienced every problem listed on these forums.... fluctuating speeds, random disconnects, SSID disappearing, etc.. Tech Support was just a time waster. I went on vacation and when I returned, I noticed I was getting consistent top end speeds near the router and satellite, with no degradation. This whole week I haven't had a single problem. I had the return label printed out to send the piece of crap back to Amazon....now? I am hopeful that the new FW release "fixed" at least the RBR40. I can't seem to get many confirmations from others on that as most seem to have the RBK50. Anyway, just thought I would share that for now, the new release has my system running better than it did when I first plugged it in. I hope I don't regret not returning it but since it works as advertized now it would be hard to give up. Anyone else have thoughts on the matter?
