New printer asking for password on my mac to authenticate.
I have purchased a new hp desk jet printer, but for some reason it fails to print from my mac and keeps requesting a password to authenticate, I have checked printer settings and mac but cannot trace...
Yes have spent several hours talking to HP and Apple without solution no one seems to know why I am being asked for a passwors.
1. what modem/gateway do you have?
2. what firmware is on the router?
3. what is actually asking for the password? The printer when you try to connect it to the network? The mac when you try to print?
